Application of an efficient stochastic calculation method on the seismic analysis of an isolated structure

摘要: An isolated structure often possesses distinct non-proportional damping characteristics. However, traditional seismic calculation theory and methods are derived based on the assumption that damping is proportional. Based on this drawback, a new, more efficient stochastic calculation method, an improvement on the pseudo-excitation method, is introduced. This method is then applied to the seismic analysis of an isolated structure. By comparing it with the forced decoupling, matrix inversion and iteration methods, it is shown that the presented method can produce accurate results while increasing the efficiency of the stochastic analysis. Moreover, the calculation process of the seismic response of an isolated structure is convergent. Based on the results of the example presented in this paper, the given method is applicable to the seismic analysis of an isolated structure and can be utilized in practice.

Explicit finite element method for calculation and analysis to the elasto-plastic dynamic response of

摘要: In order to describe the elasto-plastic dynamic response of fluid-saturated porous media, the incremental elasto-plastic wave propagation equations of fluid-saturated porous media are developed by the fundamental theory of continuum mechanics and appointing to the characteristic of fluid-saturated porous media. Then, the space discretization of these equations is performed to get their Galerkin formula. At last, the time discretization of this formula is carried out with the integral method which consists of central difference method and Newmark constant average acceleration method to get the explicit time integral formula for solving the wave propagation equations of porous media. On the basis of the integral formula mentioned above, the time-domain explicit finite element method is developed for calculation and analysis of the elasto-plastic dynamic response of fluid-saturated porous media. In this method, the decoupling technique is adopted and it does not need to solve simultaneous linear equations in each time step, so the computational effort and memory requirement can be reduced considerably by using this method.

Unified calculation method and its application in determining the uniaxial mechanical properties of concrete

摘要: This paper presents a unified calculation method and its application in determining the uniaxial mechanical properties of concrete with concrete strengths ranging from 10 to 140 MPa. By analyzing a large collection of test results of the uniaxial mechanical properties of normal-strength, high-strength and super high-strength concrete in China and performing a regression analysis, unified calculation formulas for the mechanical indexes of concrete are proposed that can be applied to various grades of concrete for determining the size coefficient, uniaxial compressive strength, uniaxial tensile strength, elastic modulus, and strain at peak uniaxial compression and tension. Optimized mathematical equations for the nonlinear stress-strain relationship of concrete, including the ascending and descending branches under uniaxial stress, are also established. The elastic modulus is almost constant throughout the elastic stage for the ascending branches of the stress-strain relationship for concrete. The proposed stress-strain relationship of concrete was applied to the nonlinear finite element analysis of both a steel-concrete composite beam and a concrete-filled steel tubular stub column. The analytical results are in good agreement with the experiment results, indicating that the proposed stress-strain relationship of concrete is applicable. The achievements presented in this paper can be used as references for the design and nonlinear finite element analysis of concrete structures.

Calculation method of load distribution on pipe threaded connections under tension load

摘要:

This paper presents a new calculation method that can calculate the load distribution on pipe threaded connections under tension load. On the basis of elastic mechanics, the new method was developed by analyzing each thread tooth, and a new deformation and covariant equation by making a mechanics analysis on each thread tooth was obtained. Compared with the traditional method proposed by the previous references, the new deformation and covariant equation could be used to describe the relation between the previous and the next thread tooth. By applying the new method on the sample of P-110S pipe threaded connection, the obtained results show that the load on thread tooth mainly concentrates on the four or five threads engaged and the middle teeth were not utilized well to bear the loads. The model offers a new way to calculate the loads carried on the thread teeth under tension load.

Calculation method on shape finding of self-anchored suspension bridge with spatial cables

摘要: Based on the spatial model, a reliable and accurate calculation method on the shape finding of self-anchored suspension bridge with spatial cables was studied in this paper. On the principle that the shape of the main cables between hangers is catenary, the iteration method of calculating the shapes of the spatial main cables under the load of hanger forces was deduced. The reasonable position of the saddle was determined according to the shape and the theoretical joint point of the main cables. The shapes of the main cables at completed cable stage were calculated based on the unchanging principle of the zero-stress lengths of the main cables. By using a numerical method combining with the finite element method, one self-anchored suspension bridge with spatial cables was analyzed. The zero-stress length of the main cables, the position of the saddle, and the pre-offsetting of the saddle of the self-anchored suspension bridge were given. The reasonable shapes of the main cables at bridge completion stage and completed cable stage were presented. The results show that the shape-finding calculation method is effective and reliable.

Development of a seismic design method based on response spectra for building structures

摘要: The assumption and problem of the mode-superposition response spectrum method in seismic design code is discussed based on a brief review of the development of the seismic design method for building structures. The scope of application for the classical damping theory is analyzed and the necessity of the research on mode-superposition method for non-classical damping is presented. The progresses on the mode superposition response spectrum theory are discussed. This includes: 1) the complex mode superposition method (in real form) for the non-classically damped linear system and the general calculation formula for the application of code; 2) the complex complete quadratic combination (CCQC) method for the non-classically damped linear system, which is based on the same assumptions as in deducing the complete quadratic combination (CQC) method which is popularly used in seismic design codes of many countries; 3) the complex complete quadratic combination with three components (CCQC3) method, which is a generalization of the CCQC method to the case of multi-components and multiple-support seismic excitations and deducing corresponding method; 4) the approach for calculation of seismic response of the non-classically damped system with overcritical damping and the calculation method of seismic response for the linear system with multiple eigenvalues; 5) the time-dependent CCQC (t) algorithm considering nonstationary earthquake ground motion; 6) an applied and effective method to solve the low order complex vector basis for the large linear non-classically damped system, which can be expediently used in practice to avoid the unknown errors coming from the forced uncoupling method; 7) bringing forward the concept of partial quadratic combination in order to reduce the calculation amount of CQC and CCQC methods, and studying the primary estimation-criterion. The reasonability and applicable scope of these methods are also briefly discussed in this paper.

既有居住建筑节能改造外部性及其量化研究

摘要:

既有商品住宅节能改造具有一定程度的外部性,阻碍了节能改造的深入开展。通过分析节能改造外部性的产生原因和外部性表现,建立外部性测算方法,为外部性内部化,构建节能改造外部性偿还机制提供必要依据。采用经济学理论与方法对既有商品住宅节能改造外部性的产生和表现等进行了分析,在识别外部性供体与受体的基础上,提出了节能改造外部性的测算方法。通过案例分析论证了外部性测算方法的适用性。结果表明,应减轻或消除外部性对节能改造的影响,采取必要手段将节能改造外部性内部化,构建统一的节能改造外部性测算方法,建立节能改造外部性偿还与节能量交易机制。

Calculation method of radial stress and deformation on conic threaded connections with interference fit

摘要: This paper presents a calculation method for radial stress distribution and deformation on conic threaded connections with interference fit. Based on elastic mechanics, a new calculation model is established using the thick-walled-cylindrical theory. A sample calculation for API 88.9 mm conic threaded connection indicates that the method proposed in this paper is reasonable, and the finite element analysis (FEA) method is used to validate the proposed method. The results obtained by the proposed method and FEA method are identical. The model offers a new way of calculating the radial stress and deformation on conic thread connections with interference fit.

一种工业过程时变参数估计新算法——修正目标函数法

摘要:

针对某些工业过程控制参数高度时变的特点和LS拟合算法存在病态估计的现象,提出了一类基于 修正目标函数的时变参数估计算法,并给出递推辅助变量算法。此类算法不仅具有较强的实时跟踪能力和较高 的估计精度,而且能克服病态估计,摆脱了伪随机信号在工程中带来的麻烦。新算法没有增加计算量,非常适 合于工程应用,仿真及实际应用结果都证明新算法是有效的。文中给出了有关新算法的定理及其证明。

单向离合器外环应力计算的有限元方法研究

单向离合器是一种常见的机械传动部件,其外环应力计算尚无理想的方法。文章以五滚柱式单向离合器为研究对象,根据外环的特点,采用有限元分析方法,分析了影响其计算精度的各种因素,计算出其外环的应力,并且将计算结果与曲梁计算法进行了比较。研究表明,有限元分析方法对于外环类零件的应力计算确是一种理想的方法。

爆炸成型弹丸速度计算方法研究

摘要:

从炸药装药的瞬时爆轰产物飞散理论出发,根据动量守恒原理得出药型罩装药形成爆炸成型弹丸的速度计算模型,并根据装药高度与直径之比对弹丸速度的影响修正了计算模型。应用该计算模型计算了大锥角药形罩和球缺药型罩装药形成的爆炸成型弹丸速度,计算结果与实验和数值模拟得到的结果吻合较好,此速度计算模型适合于工程应用。

The calculation of equivalence factor for ecological footprints in China: a methodological note

摘要: The Ecological Footprint (EF), a physical indicator to measure the extent of humanity’s use of natural resources, has gained much attention since it was first used by Wackernagel and Rees in 1996. In order to appraise land area types with different levels of productivity, they introduced the concept of an equivalence factor. This relates to the average primary biomass productivities of different types of land (i.e. arable land, pasture, forest, water/fishery, built-up land and fossil energy land) to the regional average primary biomass productivity of all land types in a given year. Hence, the equivalence factor is an important parameter in the EF model and it directly affects the reliability of all results. Thus, this article calculates equivalence factors on the national and provincial levels in China based on Net Primary Production (NPP) from MODIS 1 km data in 2008. Firstly, based on the Light Utility Efficiency and CASA model, the NPP of different biologically productive lands of China and of different provinces was calculated. Secondly, China’s equivalence factor for 6 land area types was calculated based on NPP: arable land and built-up land has an equivalence factor of 1.71, forest and fossil energy land has a factor of 1.41, pasture has a factor of 0.44 and water/fishery 0.35; Finally, the equivalence factor of 6 land area types in different provinces was also calculated. The NPP of each ecosystem type varies along with the equivalence factor in different provinces. However, the ranking of the equivalence factors in different provinces remain the same, with that of arable land being the largest, and the water/fishery being the smallest.

Calculation and analysis of sub/supercritical methanol preheating tube for continuous production of biodiesel

摘要: Biodiesel is an important renewable energy. Supercritical methanol transesterification for biodiesel has recently been concerned because of its obvious advantages. The tubular reactor is an ideal reactor for continuous preparation of biodiesel via supercritical methanol transesterification. A methanol preheating tube is necessary for the tubular reaction system because the reaction temperature for supercritical methanol transesterification is usually 520―600K. Therefore, in the range of 298―600K, changes of the density, isobaric capacity, viscosity and thermal conductivity of sub/supercritical methanol with temperature are first discussed. Then on the basis of these thermophysical properties, an integration method is adopted for the design of sub/supercritical methanol preheating tube when methanol is preheated from 298K to 600K at 16MPa and the influencing factors on the length of the preheating tube are also studied. The computational results show that the Reynolds number and the local convection heat-transfer coefficient of sub/supercritical methanol flowing in ф6mm×1.5mm preheating tube change drastically with temperature. For the local overall heat transfer coefficient and the average overall heat transfer coefficient , temperature also has an important influence on them when the inlet velocity of methanol is lower than 0.5m/s. But when the inlet velocity of methanol is higher than 0.5m/s, and almost keep invariable with temperature. Additionally, both the outlet temperature and the inlet velocity of methanol are the key affecting factors for the length of the preheating tube, especially when the outlet temperature is over the critical temperature of methanol. At the same time, the increase of tin bath’s temperature can shorten the required length of the preheating tube. At the inlet flow rate of 0.5m/s, the required length of the preheating tube is 2.0m when methanol is preheated from 298K to 590K at 16MPa with keeping the tin bath’s temperature 620K, which is in good agreement with the experimental results.

建立了分段成形桥梁任意施工过程的力学平衡方程,由力学平衡方程推演出分阶段施工桥梁过程控制的核心是构件单元的无应力状态量。通过单元的无应力状态量的控制和调整解决了分阶段施工桥梁的安装计算问题;利用无应力状态量一定的前提下,内力和位移与施工过程无关的原理,实现了施工中多工序并行作业,解决了施工中临时荷载和温度影响的自动过滤问题。

Method of internal 3D flow field numerical simulation for hydrodynamic torque converter

摘要: To enhance the performance of a hydrodynamic torque converter and thoroughly understand the trait of inside flow, a numerical simulation method of internal 3D flow for the three-element centrifugal hydrodynamic torque converter was systematically researched and expatiated in this paper. First, the internal flow field of each impeller was calculated. The curves that illustrate the relationships between the pressure differences of the inlet and outlet versus flux were drawn. Second, the concurrent working point of each impeller was approximately estimated. Finally, a calculation was performed considering the influence on each impeller. The flow field of a working point was solved by multiple calculations and the actual working condition was gradually determined. The pressure and velocity distributions of the flow field were proposed. The performance parameters of the hydrodynamic torque converter were predicted. The calculation method, and the proposed pressure and velocity distribution of the flow field, have practical significance for the design and improvement of a hydrodynamic torque converter.
